PRIVACY NOTICE

At Basingstoke locksmiths we are committed to maintaining the trust and confidence of our customers. We only collect the information that is essential for our business and do not pass on information to third parties other than to our suppliers when necessary for security orders . We understand the need for confidentiality in all aspects of our work.

We collect information personally from our customers which is stored on a computer and in paper records. This is only kept for information on work done and for VAT purposes.

We collect information under the lawful basis that it is necessary for entering into or performing a contract with the individual and it is necessary due to legal obligations.

Records on our computer are not deleted so that we can look back at details of previous work done for further work or complaints and accounts.

Paper records in the form of invoice copies are kept locked away for the time limit on accounting and then destroyed.

Details of security ie. Master suites and restricted keys are for as long as customers want us to keep their records.

Our computers are protected by passwords and anti virus software. Our data is in locked cabinets and cupboards when not in use and our premises have window bars , security locks and are alarmed.

You are entitled to access any information that we hold and to ask for it to be corrected or erased. This can be done promptly by contacting us by e mail, phone or in person. Some information cannot be erased when needed for legal reasons ie VAT.

COMPLAINT RESOLUTION

Where we cannot resolve any complaints using our own complaints procedure, as a Which? Trusted trader we use Ombudsman Services Ltd for dispute resolution.
